Valentines Day (Valentine's Day) it was very "known" in Indonesia. Any or before February 14 of each year, people send (receive) "sign" affection to (from) the people who "cared": email affection, love cards, love flowers, love sms, message love via chat, and various symbols and other signs of affection.

By pressing buttons on a computer keyboard or mobile phones, anyone can send tens or hundreds of "speech" on the day of love love this. Is the day of love will make this world more secure, more peaceful and filled with the scent of love, only time will reveal.

From where and since when is "Valentines Day" come from?

Day's love as we know it contains the remnants of Christian and Roman traditions. In the Catholic Church there were 3 saints (Saint) named Valentine (Valentine), three of them were martyred. Saint Valentine associated with Valentine's Day, according to legend, was a priest who lived and worked in Rome in the third century.

At the time of the Roman Empire in dire need of young children for the armed forces. Emperor Claudius II, knowing that the young kids a lot better in the battlefield than in men who have a family. So Claudius issued an edict banning young children to marry.

Valentine considered this decree as an injustice. She ignored him and continued to bless the wedding couple young children clandestinely. At the end of Valentine activities "against the law" was detected by Claudius and ordered that Valentine be put to death. There is also a story that says that Valentine may have been killed while trying to help Christians escape from Roman prisons because they have experienced torture.
